Hi, my name is Rijal, from Malaysia; currently owning a Yamaha TZM 150 year 97. I have this problem with its electrical whenever riding. Sometimes it works and sometimes it did't; but the engine still keep running whenever there's no electricity. The downside is whenever this happens the bikes power valve acts erraticly, and the plug ignitions alternately changes but the throttle handle was held still (happens at above 5000 rpm). When I post this question, previously a day before that I was travelling from a Perak which is 230 km away from my home in KL. I first experienced electrical problems then but during yesterday I experienced only the powervalve plus lighting and signal problems. But today it is worst, to the extent when idle the signal flashes correctly but when riding it flashes faster or didn't flashes at all. The same with my fuel button. When pressed to indicate fuel amount on my bikes temp/fuel meter, it simply didn't get up (plus the temp reading was at the bottom, hence me realizing its problems with electicity,.....I guess?).

I've asked from only two mechanics from two different motorcycle workshop, the first one I asked whether it was CDI, but he says it might be because of wiring. The other said it was because of CDI plus other probability as well. Both of them couldn't diagnose the symptoms there and then but instead they asked me to leave it at their workshop for further diagnose. But I couldn't because I need to get to work. So I hope anybody could give their opinions on what might happened to my bike that causes these symptoms. Thank you. Your co-operations will be highly appreciated. [email protected]
