I've recently bought a 1997 XVS 650 Dragstar and want to customise it.

Can anyone tell me what I'd need to do to put a considerably wider rear wheel/tyre on the back end.

I'm currently unemployed so will have to go down the cheapest route.

All help will be very much appreciated.

The bike pictured doesn't look road legal - no rear light/numberplate, but it could be on far side.

Nothing involving bikes is really cheap and mods like that don't help your insurance premiums.

This kind of modification will cost you several times what you paid for the bike.
