Posted May 31, 201213 yr Hi, Seem to have an issue with NEUTRAL. Whenever I am in first and go to second, 7 times out of 10 it keeps going to neutral. This doesn't tend to happen if revs are high. Not sure why this is happening, as I fully engage the clutch and knock the gear lever FULLY up. On the flip side, I struggle to put her into neutral when the bike is stopped. Any ideas?
May 31, 201213 yr Chain tension - I know it sounds illogical but check the tension, also see if it is worn.
May 31, 201213 yr Author Hmmm ok. Would you expect it to be to tight or loose? I've had the bike since new - End of March. Just had my first service as well. Not entirely certain how to check my tension, but I may speak to the dealer and get it checked.
June 1, 201213 yr you can check it yourself, i adjusted mine on my own, if you have the manual, you can't go wrong, just stick to the instructions and take it easy (dont wind the tension adjusting nut more than half a turn on each side without checking the chain tension after)
