Hello everyone.

Now I have ordered a technigas exhaust for my TZR50 and after looking at how to remove mine I have found a problem.

My original downpipe has some sort of small metal pipe going to it that goes back to a little black box. Now my replacement pipe doesn't have such hole.

Has anyone faced this problem before or know what I can do. Mine is a 55 plate am6.

just remove what you can and blank off the pipe, it's to do with emissions.

DT125RE's have this thing also and they have to do this when DEP exhausts are fitted...I have sent you a PM

What's a DEP Exhaust.

DEP is make of a popular after market exhaust often fitted to DT125R's

Ok thanks. My new pipe should be here tomorrow so I'll blank it off.

Exhaust on and runnning fine. i havent even blanked it off just left it hanging as its not in the way of anything.

Only problem i had was getting it to fit. Is it suppose to have a gasket as the old one never . The old pipe had a small inset that i needed to put in the new exhaust. Just ended up using exhaust paste for now

yep it would need a gasket fitting between the pipe and the barrel

Yamaha only list a rubber o ring by the looks of it.

Rubber? aghh i'm out of my depth here, usually they are heat proof aluminium / fiber jobbies

I have ordered one anyway so I'll see what turnes up
