Hey peoples!

I thought my YBR125 could look a bit better, a bit more "rugged" I suppose... So I bought the following things from eBay:

gqnVE.jpg

Cheapo lowered but longer handlebar with brace £19 http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1497.l2649

azKkz.jpg

Cheapo hand guards although they do protect my hands from the icy winds pretty well £12 http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1497.l2649

(In my opinion) Alright handlebar grips £16 http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1497.l2649

Gimmicky little dust caps £1.50 http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1497.l2649

Finally, a pretty decent waterproof mount mainly for my phone £20 http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1497.l2649

The first job was obviously to get the stock handlebar off.

^^ Stock Handlebar.

Next was putting the new handlebar on. Due to the shit quality of the brace mounting screw things; I wasn't able to use the brace, however I may buy another one from eBay later on; possibly this in red: http://www.ebay.co.u...4#ht_500wt_1180)

Friend of mine ^^ making sure it was equal.

I then put most of the parts on one side of the handlebar.

Now for a load of pictures I took once I had finished (unfortunately got dark so pictures aren't as good quality)

You will probably notice that one of the handlebar grips didn't want to fit at the time, however with a bit of help; it is now on nicely!

Due to the thickness of the handlebar, I wasn't able to use the bar end weights. I also was unable to mount the new mirrors in a good place as of yet, so they remain unused. One of the stock mirrors was not budging so I couldn't take it off yet either... So at the moment it looks like this:

I really want to use the new mirrors at least, but I just can't seem to get one of the current ones off! The bar end weights I'm not too fussed about though. Any help on getting it off would be much appreciated! (It's supposed to unscrew with a spanner like the other one, but I'm just rounding it off trying to undo it.) If you like the slightly changed look of my bike so far, please say!

Thanks peoples.

Looking good!

As for the mirrors, i think the left hand side (as if youre sitting on the bike) unscrews counterclockwise and the right hand side unscrews clockwise.

Good luck!

Pull the actual wing mirror clock wise till its tight then push it anti clock wise this should loosen the whole thing and is easier than using a spanner on the bottom half of it, you may find tho that the mirror will come off and leave the bottom half still on the bike but at least then you can get a closed end spanner on there which will help you not to round off the nut.

One more thing tho mate.................i WOULD strongly recommend you introduce your self in the new member section as you will get a very un happy welcome if you dont.

.............

Iwas unable to get the handlebar ends out because I may have screwed them in too tightly, any suggestions?

unscrew the screw by about 7mm but leave it in, then tap the screw back into the bar end, keep it pressed in to the bar end and try pulling the thing off like that

try posting smaller pics it takes an age to load and edit your mega mega pixels! ;)
