michaeldouglas72
I'm replacing the friction plates in my 1977 DT250MX and there is an adjuster in the centre of the basket. Does anyone know how to set this properly.
Moderator Airhead Posted April 12, 2012 Moderator Share Posted April 12, 2012 yes assuming its the same as the 175mX, there is a pointer at the end of the actating arm and a pip on the engine case, gently push the arm towards the front of the engine until it stop's. Adjust the clutch centre screw until the pointer and pip align. After this is done adjust the cable adjuster for 3mm play at the end of the handlebar lever. Now...how about an intro in 'new members'
michaeldouglas72
Thanks for that, can't remember if there's a pip on the engine case but will check tomorrow. Just got the bike a month or so ago and it seems to have been bodged from one end to the other! None of the electrics seem to be working either, that's the next adventure.
