Started to fiddle around and arrival of the Haynes manual gets me very excited.

1. Every fastener is rusted/rounded. Excellentey.

2. Removed the tank so I could, er, clean underneath. All went well, especially as two of the mounting bolts were missing. Trouble is the H manual says to disconect the breather hose - but there's no sign of it. I have the speedo cable and the instrument wiring coming up but no breather hose.

Am I missing something here or do models vary?

Cheers.

I've never disconnected a breather hose from mine, either.

AFAIK, the 650 Drag breathes through the fuel cap.

I just looked at the manual myself. I do see the hose they're talking about in the diagram... but I ain't got one on my bike, and the Mrs doesn't have one either!

I must have a de-luxe model or something, as mine's got one!

I've pulled it off many a time (oo-err :eusa_shifty: )

Is the short metal pipe there?

the tank breather hose is under the clocks, you should have 2 plugs ( one for instruments one for illumination ) speedo cable and a hose that goes on the vent from the tank ( breather ) :eusa_whistle:

Nope mine dont have one either! maybe some other twit before us removed it and didn't put it back on, or Yamaha run out of stock when building them lol

Actually, it's a 'Temporary Use Ban', as it covers more than just hosepipes.
