A mate has just broken one collar in the starter motor. He says it may have back fired when kicked from cold and sheared the collar. (Uses kick starter when cold)Is this possible? He says the collar is part of the centre cases. Does he have to get new cases? Or can he get the collar rewelded? Help! :(

    He will need to find a good alloy welder though, but can be done
