what does the manual say then?

I'm using the AM6 12v system.

I do have the Derbi Senda one which doesn't give that information as they assume that the mag will fit on via the woodruff key (which it will for a derbi senda)

line up the line on the mag to to the mark on the casing.

means nothing in this case as there is a new crank which has a different keyed cutout for some reason.

right, the new crank has an old style taper so the AM6 system is out now Boooo! :shakeno:

So I asked mr Bob and he recons its the CEV mag I need as there are 2 part numbers for ols crank and new.

Guess what, I had a CEV mag originally so after a bit of juggling around it fits. The only issue I have is the key way is different.

Just used the Dial Gauge ( thanks Airhead) and found tdc and had to spin the coils 180' ish and luckily the backplate holes line up with the threads. Just need to buy new contacts as these ones are worn and I will replace the condensor too as I'll rewire the Mag.

Managed to get a spark, so onwards and upwards :)

Bob Wright has just emailed me to say the final parts are on their way, yippee

have the frame and fork legs at the local TIG welder to make a better job than me.

Get the frame to the powder coaters next week and then should be on the final build

its the down pipe, and I assume the funnel catches the moving air, warms up around the down pipe and comes out of that end. To where it goes from there, who knows?

A bit hard now and they are commanding ££'s, theres a rough one one ebay for £995 ATM and needs the lot doing.

Just done a calculation and spent £1562.12 so far, including purchase price. That doesn't sound too bad :)

That's good. My project has cost me more and parts are more widely available.
