decided to make a hot wire cutter tonight so I can carve the new seat foam.

came out really well although it took 3 different chargers to find the right amperage

went to build the bottom end today and I noticed i have the wrong mains bearing :)

I also noticed the new 5 speed cluster has a blued fork selector, can I reuse this or is it best to find a better part?

well things have moved on a bit more;

tool the seat to Matt in Hyde to get it covered and I picked up my wheel from Manchester Xtreme

looks ace

rear view (makes the rear seem larger)

not sure whether to go for a traditional ribbed front tyre or go modern and get stickier, I'm leaning towards sticky ATM

and I also eyed up the headlamp I'm using

that's why I needed longer fork ears

still got about £500 to spend on this yet :eusa_shifty:

that's going to be a real stunner drew you've change my way of thinking here, co's the was a time not so long ago when I wouldn't look twice at a 50cc bike, and when I first seen this I thought to myself Why? but now I'm beginning to open my eyes

can't wait to see it finished now.

looking great drewpy...keep the momentum up

love the handlebar :thumb:

how was the kicker you picked up from Stafford then?

I've stripped the paint off and had to file a bit more to open the gap in order for it to grip the shaft properly.

will prob repaint it as the chrome has been ground off, sorted I think.

those handlebars are original tomaselli ones and I've kept the patina on them too :D

Just awaiting Bob Wright to find me a 5th Gear selector fork so I can finish the bottom end.

I matched up the ports yesterday to the cases and they were about 1mm out which is a lot for a two stroke. I'm leaving the ports alone as they are the 6.2hp ones

BTW those are not the rear shocks, just mock up ones

i take it that self-fabrication is out of the question?

I don't have the facillities but maybe I might have to get someone to make one.

bought tyres today, Heidenau thingies, German make so should be good.

fitted them tonight and the front was a bitch to fit and my fingers were knackered, the rear was dead easy and it just popped on!

Now I can weld on the front mudguard brackets and work out how to fab a tie bracket for the TLS brake.

Looks like you might have it finished before I pop my clogs. Lol.
