Posted April 1, 201213 yr I'm glad to be here! I found this forum out of futility after being 'shunned' by a H.O.G. chapter this past weekend. What happened? My wife and I were touring the Wisconsin countryside on my 2005 V Star 1100 Classic, we stopped for some lunch and I parked amongst the Harley's...did I mention we wear helmets too...scoffs and barely heard comments ensued around us. Aren't we all 'brothers' in spirit on the road? When I ride my 81' 850 Special with the custom paint job (color changing) I've had guys on 883's and old Sporties sit next to me in traffic and say they envy my 'Old-School Triple'. What gives? My V Star looks like a 50's cruiser...well, as the saying goes about metric cruisers "twice the performance for half the money". Hope I can link up with some of you for some rides in the southern Wisconsin / Northern Illinois area... Tank
