steveyg_uk Posted March 31, 2012 Share Posted March 31, 2012 Evening, Picking up my new bike next week - can't wait :-) Yamaha YBR 125. Go to re-take my CBT, as it expired when I was 18 - lol. Now I am 33. Couple of questions if I may? 1. Dealer states bike will do in excess of 100mpg - is this true? 2. Been advised to change the dip and main beam bulbs? 3. Advised to change tyres to Michelin something or other - better grip in wet? 4. Another person said to change the spark plugs to NGK - CR6HSA, this will not only increase perfomance (not interested in that) but mainly MPG by 10 - 15%. Can anyone advise if the above is correct? Another person said to change the spark plugs to NGK - CR6HSA, Dont change the spark plug,,,,,leave the origional one, provided it is the correct one for the bike(find out the right plug numbers in a manual) Changing to a colder or hotter plug can seriously damage your bike. EDIT: people will tell you to do all-sorts of things to your bike,,,,,,dont listen to them,,,,try out the bike and change things you think yourself as you go along. Bought a bike to try and save money due to the high fuel prices. Misses not to happy - but there we go :-) Had a few bikes between 16 and 18 and have always wanted one ever since.
