buckskin Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 I am fixing up a DT250 and am changing the oil in the tranmission and it call for 1000 cc. I put a 1000 cc in it and checked the dip stick and it goes up half way the the dip stick. The dip stick has a flat on the bottom about half inch up, I am not sure it correct dip stick ,but the oil goes about a inch and a half over flat, What is the reason for the flat in the bottom of the dip stick? Is it alright for the oil to go 1 1/2 over it? Any ideas?? Buckskin
Moderator Airhead Posted March 17, 2012 Moderator Posted March 17, 2012 1000cc is correct dont forget you need to run the engine, let it warm , stop it and then take the reading...you may find it falls considerably
