Hi i have a xj600s and just wondered if it's time for valve adjusting? It has done 21,500 miles and has just developed a ticking noise from the top end... It runs fine and pulls like it should so i dunno. Any help would be much appreciated, is there any thing else i could check out first? Cheers, Tom.

I'm at the same mileage on my XJ600n, gonna leave it for now. The head gasket is just starting to seep a wee bit so I'll get it all done then. I wouldn't worry about it mate.

I would have said you were well past at least an inspection if its never been done, I used to inspect/adjust my 600 every 6K. If you can hear them ticking every 'tick' is damage/wear.
