Posted February 16, 201213 yr I'm new here and I'm sure this topic ha been covered but I can't find it. Please help. 2006 R1 24000 miles My bike was began to have trouble starting. It would crank, lights would cut out, clicking sound and it sounded like the battery died. I replaced with a new battery and the same thing happened. Then I jumped the battery with a car battery, Bike started and then started several times thereafter. Now the bike will not start. Even after charging with a trickle charger. Could it be my starter? Starter relay ot just a bad battery. Both batteries are gel batteries. I'm hoping that the gel batteries just suck. Please help.
February 16, 201213 yr Yeh staggs, my money is on incorrect battery size, if it jumped ,then you got a few starts, check the manual. or google. for correct fitment,
