Hi there.

I'm new to the forum and looking for some advice.

I have a 87 DT125 LC MK3, for the most part the bike is great and well used on and offroad.

As time has gone on the rear suspention has got softer and lower. It often bottoms out coming over lumps off road.

I cant find a replacement that looks good enough to spend money on. Does anybody know if I could replace it with an easier to find one off a DTR?

Thanks

I dont know the answer but why not compare the length and bolt / pivot sizes for the two models, and if necessary make an adapter sleeve if required, also compare the two bikes to see if they have a similar linkage arrangement

Thanks for the quick reply.

They do look like they have a different brackets at the lower end. do you know how important the exact length is?

The length will affect the ride height, if its too far different it will either make it difficult to get your feet down, or the other way round, could cause bottoming out...just guessing though

Thanks again for the help and welcome.

I was hoping to get something from another bike that go straight on! Maybe being a bit too hopefull.

I did an internet search and found one for 300 quid! I might have to just live with it.
