skyline Posted February 18, 2005 Share Posted February 18, 2005 to start with, i thought that yzf and r1-r6 were the same thing, then i thought they could be diffrent bikes, then i thought they were the same thing again. and now really i have no clue, how comes some r1-r6's say yzf and others dont etc??? just hoping someone can clear this one up for my little mind please Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The r1 is a YZF-R1 (1000cc) the r6 is a YZF-R6 (600cc) But both are differnt bikes, but so to speak the R6 is a baby version of the R1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
skyline Posted February 19, 2005 Author Share Posted February 19, 2005 i know the r1 and r6 are diffrent, but isnt somewhere else posted someone is selling a yzf thundercat?! i was trying to find out if the r1 is the same as yzf or there is a yzf and an r1 sort of thing...or maby yzf was an earlyer r1/r6? like steve calls himself steve yzf, why not steve r1 (or r6)...? Admin Alex Posted February 19, 2005 Admin Share Posted February 19, 2005 My bike is a YZF-750R the thundercat is a YZF-600R the thunderace is a YZF-1000R But none of these are a YZF-R1, YZF-R6 or a YZF-R7 All different bikes.
