Posted November 29, 201113 yr Got a 2003 FZS1000 with about 55k on the clock and runs like a charm. However, like it's elderley owner, it has developed a habit of clearing the trip and clock memory all on it's own accord. The odometer is OK but it has happened about three times in the last 4 months - not a big problem, just a bit annoying. Seems to happen at start-up. Any suggestions? We would be most appreciative here in the colonies.
November 29, 201113 yr Hey Jonesboy, Wouldn't this happen if the battery is disconnected? Have you checked the terminals?
November 29, 201113 yr I think vitamin D is good for memory. can't remember, but i would check your terminals for bad connections and clean them with a wire brush.
December 19, 201113 yr Author As suggested, got all abrasive with the terminals and no problems since. Time will tell. Thanks for the assistance. Gee, that whole European Common market love-in seems to be working out just dandy.
