Posted October 30, 201113 yr Hey ppl I got a dt125r 1991 and every time I ride it I have coolant coming out on to my swing arm I have just had my head and base gaskets done and I was just wondering if anyone knew what it could be I was thinking my self the thermostat Thanks Zac
October 30, 201113 yr Moderator head gasket again, perhaps the old residue wasnt cleaned properly ...or if the bike was ridden to long when the old one failed it could have warped the head and so would require skimming
October 30, 201113 yr Author Well I put it in the shop to get the work done and they said every thing looked fine but do you think it would be the thermerstat ?
October 30, 201113 yr Moderator no its the head gasket, hope they didnt use one of those cheap nasty all metal pattern ones that have no rubberised coating
October 30, 201113 yr Author I think that could be the case then but where would you get one of the other ones from ?
October 30, 201113 yr Moderator from yamaha of course but athena make good ones too.
