Hi folks just wondering if any one has ever used a pattern gasket set for a fzr/yzf . Or is it best to use genuine yam . Have been quoted over £300 for genuine but only £100 for pattern ? . My heart tells me to buy genuine, but the csa say buy pattern and send them the difference ??. Cheers folks , regards pete

Its always best to use original gaskets but pattern can be as good, are you totally stripping the motor or just the top end as you can buy just these.

look on ebay for genuine, might be cheaper. What you want to do is find out who makes the gaskets and buy them without the Yam moniker and mark up!

if you go with aftermarket, get a good make. Athena springs to mind, never heard of one fail!
