Hi all, DT feels like its missing between 3 to 5 thou and isnt crisp at all, very spluttery. Engine is very quiet with no knocks or rattles what so ever. It will still pull to 65 but it dont like it. will clean carb but whats standard settingsNewImage.jpg

Also have the same problem with this bike as 175. Cant get driving lights to work? All other light function. obviously i have the bike running and have checked fuse but now joy:o(

She looks very nice Clive, is she new in the stable?

Check the reed petals arent curving upward at the ends, they should be seated at the end and a small gap in the middle section.

Have you checked the bulb filaments with a multimeter?

How old is the 250 ? , the early model [1977/8] were points ,& condencer, :eusa_think: nice looking DT ,

Yes she is new in the stable. Have got a loan now so they all may stay. Could not resist this one, got it for a decent price. Will check the filaments tomorrow. It was MOT a couple of months ago and all he has done is replace battery.

Its a 1978 but will check if its points and reed valves tomos.

Gents took the reeds out and they look new. Had a look a the spark plug and it looks like thisIMG_0346.jpg

clive you need a manual, then look at the carb specs and compare with what you have

Purchased one today m8, should get it by monday
