uwti Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Trying to test the pulser coil by using a multimeter, set to check voltage, attached to the two wires, white with red stripe and white with green stripe, than kick the bike over. But I only get up to about .08 volts? how else can I test the pulser coil and what voltage am I looking for? Thanks,
Moderator Airhead Posted September 24, 2011 Moderator Posted September 24, 2011 youre not...youre looking for resistance
YPVS TONE Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 As oldgitonabike says your'e looking for resistance Not voltage. Just looked on a site with some service data on and it says 1975-76 DT400B and DT400C pulse coil resistance between W/G and W/R wires should be 100 ohms + or - 10%. Hope this helps. Tony
