Posted January 18, 200520 yr I watched a programme about radio control submarines the other day. Think about that for a moment. Yep, you push your submarine into the lake press the submerge button and there it is gone. Half an hour later up it comes. Marvellous you have just watched a lake for 30 mins. Next question, what happens if it brakes down under water how the hell would you know, are where the bloody hell do you look for it?
January 19, 200520 yr Moderator What would make that hobbie NOT quite so pointless, is if you had a small on-board camera mounted to that sub ......otherwise it just boils down to Blind Faith in what you can't see
January 19, 200520 yr Admin Yeah you can buy tiny wireless videocameras for models. Sadly this is from experience! I used to have a helicopter which had one, i had it for about 6 months then gave up with it. Took me about the same time just to get the stupid thing to hover and cost me a fortune everytime it tipped and smashed the rotors! Wish i had kept it up though, as apparantly they fly identical to a real one and it is possible to go from a model to the real thing! Well thats if someone would let you! Out in in Australia i bet a sub would be quite fun especially ramming the sharks with it! And looking for nemo!
January 19, 200520 yr Took me about the same time just to get the stupid thing to hover and cost me a fortune everytime it tipped and smashed the rotors! lol. now now, i know that r/c helicoptors dont just 'trip' its down to the inexperianced pilot! did you have one of those training hula hoop type things on the bottem of it by any chance?
January 19, 200520 yr i got an r/c plane a while ago. it's taking a bit of getting used to i can tell you loads of fun but not when i have to rebuild it after crashing
January 19, 200520 yr you iz just cryin cos us boyz iz flyin. word now stop your bitchin and get to the kitchen. respect where's my pimp bling bling plane, i'm going to get down to my new snoop doggy dogshit album
January 19, 200520 yr Author My mates got a couple of planes, l don't want to appear an anorak but the tiny 3.5bhp engine is a work of art. as l recall it was the only bit left after a small altercation with ground apparently he just can't keep it up longer than 30 seconds
January 19, 200520 yr Helicopters are brill. I flew one and it's really hard to hover. My neighbour lost his plane. A gust of wind caught it and lifted it out of range, then it looked to come down about 3 miles away near our hospital. Gutted, but funny
January 20, 200520 yr Admin Me being me cant just have a 'learner' one i had to go the full works and get a 7 channel one, and even with the learner sticks on the bottom AND a gyro still managed to crash it loads. January 20, 200520 yr Moderator Did a paintjob for a friend once, on an RC boat that went like Hell! He had a hopped-up 30cc Weed-Eater motor in it.......that would spin to 20k! He paid me with my 2nd Air-Brush, that works just great! Nothin' quite like Stroker fumes on the water.
January 21, 200520 yr can't keep it up longer than 30 seconds Strange !!!!! My wife says that wonder why
January 23, 200520 yr Admin Thinking of Viagra do they sell Tiger in the UK? the adverts over here for it make me laugh "Brings out the tiger in you" with some dirty old couple
January 24, 200520 yr Author Aye up alexasigno don't mean to be a numpty but what the hell is tiger? I have a good guess but you never know. I know you can rub viagra in your eyes to make you look hard but with a tiger, l don't fancy that much.
