My current project is going to be installing white LED under tank engine accent lighting on my V-Star 1300. Looking to put 2 light strips (one on each side of frame under tank).

My question:

1) what is the best way to take the tank off just enough to install the lights,

2) where is the best place to wire them in? I would like to have an on/off switch somewhere in the front of the bike, maybe in the electrical cover under the handle bars. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance. Also, if anyone has lights on their 1300, pics?
