smitty74
Hi All! I have a slight steering wobble when I reach 40mph and faster. Could this be wheel bearings, balance issue, tire issue or something else. It is not to bad, but any suggestions or help would be great. This is on a 1990 virago 535. The tire is inflated to the correct pressure. I get the tire pressure of both tires before every ride.

Ttaskmaster
Could this be wheel bearings, balance issue, tire issue or something else. Short answer - Yes it could. Any of the above. Alternate answer - Check the cheapest parts first. Check tyre tread and wear pattern, as this seems to be the most common cause in my experience. Sometimes there are nicks and bulges almost imperceptible that will cause wobbles.

realrayzor
Thanks for the suggestions, I will get the balance, and tread wear checked out asap. I had the same problem on my '95 virago. Turned out to be a slight buckle in the wheel.
