0-60 times are really hard to come by for most bikes so does anyone have any idea with the XV750 Virago?

Sorry if this sort of thread already exists in the forum but its really hard to search as the search system doesn't like '0 - 60' or '0 to 60'

Dont know about 0-60, but a 1/4 mile from a standing start is 13.7secs according to Haynes, terminal speed after a 1/4 mile 95.5mph, Haynes again

No so difficult?

that site says the 1981 XV750H does 0-60 in 6.5 secs, has a max 62 BHP, and will top out at 111mph.

This site says 5.8 secs with only 50bhp

But as stated before in other posts, you're thinking like a car driver. 0-60 is irrelevent unless you plan on drag racing perhaps? and if that's the case....good luck with an old Virago!:lol::lol:

Nice looking, low mileage XV750 for sale at Roy Jervis The Bike Shop, Ripley, Derbyshire, if youre buying B)

I saw that site actually but didn't trust it as its figures for power output vary from other sources and it says 0-60 in 6.5 for some other models too with less power and only a little less weight (if memory serves me) which just seems wrong to me

and that illustrates my point about figures being meaningless. 0-60 figures etc maybe a way for Jeremy Clarkson to impress 10yr old boys but out here in the real world..........................

And on that bombshell.........

They are meaningless in the real world but they are useful as a comparative measure of performance, hence why manufacturers publish them for almost every car
