SteveFZS
Well Lads first Yamaha bike usually a Suzuki man anyway bought a 2002 Yamaha fazer 1000 just newbie question besides the 7k tacho warning for the ex-up valve any other way of telling from driving bike if your ex up valve is shagged. With the tacho warning does it mean that it wont accelerate past 7k revs I have being looking on-line to see exactly what happens not found it yet. Were is the EX- up valve on 2002 fazer thanks in advance for reply
2 Wheels
The valve is in the front of the down-pipes. It is shagged if it is ratteling about in there. If it were me id take the pice of shit thing out and through it far far away. You have enough horse power not to notice any difference in the low revs and the good news Youll have more horse power in the high revs. Dont know about the 7K thing,,,,,,,dont think it retards the revs,,,,,,,,,unless of course its stuck closed stopping exhaust gasses,,,,,which often happens if bike is not in constant use.
