I own a 99 r1 which i love but I heard that there had been snags with the gear selector spring breaking so I thought I would change it when the spring came it was thiner with less coils why is this can anyone help.

also whilst im here my bike has 39000 miles on the clock is there any little snags that can pop up or is the r1 engine as hard as ive heard ta sheps :twisted:
