DTGordo
Hi Col68, They don't seem to appear much on EBay so a wrecker might be your best bet? Gordo

chrisp
If you widen your search on ebay to "worldwide" you will find loads, particularly in asia.

I will keep an eye out too Hi Col68 As a last roll of the dice you could take a plaster cast of another side panel from another DT, then you could use that cast as a die to make a fiberglass one using fast a fast glass kit, you will have to use some release compound so the finished fiberglass casting will come free from the mould, I have made some other plastic bits and bobs like this, I have done this before to make model boat hulls. (http://www.cstsales.com/tutorials/fiberglass_mold.pdf) Just found these!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LEFT-SIDE-COVER-1975-YAMAHA-DT175-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem1e63dbd997QQitemZ130524371351QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-Yamaha-DT100-DT175-Side-Cover-LR-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem415a086341QQitemZ280683373377QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-1974-76-DT175-Side-Cover-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem27b8718657QQitemZ170598172247QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
DTGordo
That looks like an earlier side cover. I couldn't see the '77 175 on the parts listing I use but the 250 and 100 didn't match that as far as I could see. I have one from the '74 dt though so if it is the same I'm sure I could make a mould. Have you been able to find an image of the cover that you need? Moderator Cynic Posted June 24, 2011 Moderator Share Posted June 24, 2011 Is it the 1G1 twinshock model, or the MX monoshock model? Can't be the monoshock that has the exhaust behind the panel.
