Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. I just bought my first street bike, a 1983 Yamaha Maxim xs400. Needs a little loving but so far I put a few hundred km (ontario canada - we use km!) on it without any major issues. I am enjoying myself greatly so far, its quite a rush. I have had plenty of dirt bikes as a kid and still enjoy my atv but the bike is a fantastic get up and go vehicle. I thought I should join the forum to help me learn more about my bike and get any tips that may improve my abilites to do self repairs. I prefer to fix things myself when ever possible.
