Hello guys n girls got a problem with a 535 virago 1990 ive set the carbs and cleaned them out put new plugs in, ive checked the coils but 1 seemed low so going to put new ones on just incase,the bike idles ok but go to rev it and it wont it coughs and farts any ideas would be helpfull

I had the same problem with my 95 500cc virago. i just rev'ed the hell out of it and held at top rev for 15-20 secs. It coughed, farted, banged and banged and banged and puked. I did this a few times and then took it for a spin and rode her hard for half a mile. After that she purred like a kitten.
