Ally R Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Hi Folks, Just a wee intro since I've finally got round to joining the owners club. I've been a biker since I passed my test at the end of september last year and went out and bought an '09 Divvy the same day. I've been out in pretty much everything the great Scottish weather has thrown at me (apart from that month long snow and ice fest we had). I basically have wanted a bike most of my life but always felt it was too dangerous or I was too wee for a bike (I'm 5ft 8" by the way). A couple of biking friends had been nudging me to give it a try and eventually I took a backie on a Honda Deauville and that was it the bug bit me and a few months later (plus some trials regarding Cat A expiry dates with the DVLA) I walked out the test centre waving (quite literally) my pass certificate. Next challenge is to convince my missus that she isn't too wee to ride bikes... Cheers big ears... Ally

Moderator Airhead Posted May 11, 2011 Moderator Posted May 11, 2011 Greetings Tim and a warm to the forum. Nice intro dude
Ally R Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 cheers folkies. I didn't want to be a divvy (boom boom) like some other people joining just to get a bit of advice. It's almost as bad as people not giving the nod! On the bright side though saying that on my way home last night I had a pillion giving me the big thumbs up from the back of his mates bike I just had to laugh... Toknaboot indeed!
