paule230 Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Hi all, I have just found this forum having just restored a 1 owner 7k miles TZR125 (1988). Previously I have had FS1E's, RD350 ypvs, XJ600, as for other makes I have had Suzuki GP100, X7 & RG500,kawasaki GPZ600R & GPZ900R plus numerous others. I'm 43 live in Faversham, Kent. The TZR is my first bike for many years and I like to think it'll bring back many memories for those that had one as a teenager. BEFORE: AFTER: AFTER:

Leatherat Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Hi all, BEFORE: AFTER: I want one of those magic sponges you've got, Before you washed it the TZR seemed to be on the Chatsworth estate, but after a rub with the 'Sponge of Destiny' the surroundings are idilic! Can't see much difference with the bike though
paule230 Posted May 9, 2011 Author Posted May 9, 2011 This is the face book link, I may have to add you as a friend before you can view it though. Face book link
realrayzor Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Nice work there paul. I can see all the rust on there and the bad paint, broken front brake calipers. You must have stripped it right back.
paule230 Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 Thanks all, The bike was very sad looking, with a few dents in the tank, rust, peeling paint on the plastic, siezed caliper, petrol turned to sludge in the tank, crazed and cracked screen. As mentioned above if anyone wants to add me on face book, you can see the photo album of the re-build.
