Hi. My XJ's fuel pump died on me and at 360€ (280€ if I use the one from Thundercat) I can't afford a new one. Does anyone has experience with the repair kits sold on eBay?

It looks quite simple to install and I think I can manage to do it on my own, but I'm afraid to spend money and still end up with a dead fuel pump.

Other than that, any place where I can buy a new one cheap?

    would this be what is meant by the fuel pump solenoid ? my fuel pump stopped working yesterday and i cant afford to buy a new one this month :/
