Hi, I have just bought a XV750 engine for the purpose of turning it in to a diesel, yes I can guess what you’re thinking but 200mpg is starting to change people’s minds on diesel.

Anyhow I digress; I need to know if the 750 crank is used on a bigger engine. Diesels have to have a stronger crankshaft, which usually means that a converted petrol engine has been done by re sleaving the bores to a smaller size, and I don't want to do that If I can help it.

Thanks for any help you can give.

PS Yamaha are going in to diesel motorbike production for the US military. :)
