awa355 Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Hi, When I fill my 650, I fill to the level of the plate forming the lower end of the filler funnel. inside the tank, about 2" below the cap. Is this getting the full 15 litres in? I find the pump nozzle has to be entered into the hole otherwise the fuel splashes back. I know there has to be room for fuel expansion but It always seem to leave a lot of tank space above this point.
Leatherat Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 I can just get 15 litres in from reseverve, filling very slowly on the side stand.
PeterC Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Fuel tank is 16 litres (my 2007 SVX650A) with 3 as reserve and yes that is to the bottom of the fuel tank filler tube. So if you haven't used the reserve the most you should get in is 13L You do have to be careful filling up and slow down towards the end if you are topping the tank.
