Canny lad
Guys i need some advice please.. I am busy goign through the wiring on the RS125DX as it has been butchered in a few places.. it became apparent that every bulb i checked was fried so i replaced a couple and sure enough they worked without th eengine running.. now a strted the engine and within seconds 2 of the 3 bulbs popped and the 3rd one was very bright indeed which leads me to think theres far too much voltage reaching them... I dont know much about that side of electrics so can anyone help me and give me an idea as to why this is happening.. dodgy rectifyer or regulator?.. the rectifyer looks fairly new however the wiring too it is non standard.. any ideas guys
Moderator Airhead Posted April 22, 2011 Moderator Share Posted April 22, 2011 Yeah regulator trouble, visually inspect it and the connections to it, if its a one wire affair like on my DT175 they seem pretty reliable. I dont know the bike, how it's mounted or have a wiring diagram so can be much more help. I just posted something in the thread about 125 lights, same subject.
