Posted November 22, 200420 yr My front disc is slightly bent/warped!  Got it clamped and viced up at the moment praying it will straighten it a little, but it seems a long shot! Discs are so expensive, £50! I have a second hand DTR disc that i'd swap for a DT LC disc!
November 23, 200420 yr try £280 for a pair of exup front discs  ... and that´s just the std disks. wanna have a pair of snowflakes for a 500€ bargain
November 23, 200420 yr Author ....okay maybe its not that bad then  ...still, its another £50 on a bike probably worth very little! Oh well, if i can get it straight i'll be happy, but its unlikely, so it looks like £50!
November 30, 200420 yr Got it clamped and viced up at the moment praying it will straighten it a little, but it seems a long shot! It's a VERY long shot - as in, it won't work. If you clamped it dead straight, then heated it to just below the temp where it becomes plastic to relax all the internal stresses, it might come out straight, but this would mess with other properties of the metal, and if you weren't super careful about heating and cooling the part evenly, it would just warp from the temp changes. Can't win, don't try. Be glad it's only 50 pounds! Take it easy,
December 1, 200420 yr Author I've given in and have ordered the disc, should be with me sometime this week hopefully!
December 6, 200420 yr Author got the new disc today, fitted in on with no problems then...... .....when i went to attach the caliper, I CAN'T FIND THE BOLTS!!!!!! ARRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!    I've put them somewhere safe, but somewhere so safe i cant find them! i should be able to get replacements right? (caliper mount bolts, bleed nipple, and bolts for both ends of the hose!)
December 6, 200420 yr Yeah, You've got no problems getting replacement parts but they are pretty expensive. Try something along the lines of £4 a bolt     Have another look around. Nothing worse then spending a shed load on bolts then putting them down inside right where you left the others.
December 7, 200420 yr Author I've searched up and down! :x :x When i buy these new bolts, i'm going to buy a secure container which will hold any pending screws/nuts/bolts! Its made me angry cus i know i've put them somewhere safe, cus they are so important!!! ARRRRRHHHHH!    :x Spoke to Yamaha, the parts team were particularlly unuseful, have to go in and point to bolts on the micro film! BUT I SHALL PERCEIVER!! This bike will not beat me!!! (Thanks by the way)
December 13, 200420 yr Author Ordered the bolts in from yamaha........ ......1 bleed nipple, 2 caliper mount bolts, 2 hose bolts........... ..............£12!!! Painful! and i know i'll find them!  Does anybody know if a DT125r front brake hose fit on a DT125lc??
