Gordy82
Hi folks, Im just back into bikes after a 2 year break. Just picked up a 96 Thundercat last week and rode it home 130 miles from Durham. Thought it would have been a kinda sensible choice after having been off for a wee bit. Got home no probs, but the clutch is now giving me hell on earth!!!!! Managed to change the plates, tried to adjust it after putting it all back together, but the lever is either solid or flapping.... Does anyone have any ideas, Have i tightened the springs too much, or just been an eejit n missed something more simple? Cant wait to get out at every opportunity!! Looking forward to speaking to you's Gordy.

Moderator drewpy Posted April 11, 2011 Moderator Share Posted April 11, 2011 usual to adjust near the clutch first. tighten up till touching and back off 1/4 turn. then leave 5mm at the lever end. As Blackie sayas, check routing of cable or even oil it/renew! to the YOC
