April 6, 201113 yr This gave me a flashback to the halcon days of the 60's! We used to spend Easter Monday watching the likes of Hailwood tearing round Oulton Park, then set off for Beeston Castle to watch the Hill Climb. Old Blaster Bates was there once, with rockets shoved up his exhausts to assist his ascent,. Unfortunately when he ignited them he got no propulsion and disappeared with a bang in a cloud of smoke! Happy Days!
