straubman Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 i am having no luck getting spark out of my 79 gt 80. my 74 mx is real simple one wire and thats it, can i swap out the stator from another bike that is just an mx and does not have any of the lights and get rid of the rest. do i also have to switch out the coil up by the gas tank? thanx

straubman Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 not sure which one isthe capacitor? new to this tryin our best. believe i know which one is the voltage rectifier but past that not sure. if i could bet rid of all the wiring and go back to basics like the 74 i have that would be great
