Brothers and Sister,

I am writing to you, as I am sure you are all as concerned as I am, about the problem of Off Road Motorcycling - to the bikers and the local residents.

This issue has been in recent press quite a lot, not just in the likes of MCN.

The problem is that there is simply nowhere for people to ride off road motorcycles across the country anymore. Land that used to be open for us is now closed, and any attempt to create an area is swiftly brushed under the rug. It’s as if you are no longer allowed to even talk about Off Road Biking to the general public; they just don’t want to know about us.

As far as the non-biking population is concerned, they experience too many hooligans screaming up their small avenue almost running their children over. We as bikers are too sick of this minority. But they are just that, a minority! Yet we are all suffering for their crime. Why are we not standing up for ourselves anymore? Why are we not fighting our way through instead of just standing aside and watching it happen?

Well a few locals and myself have now decided to stand up against this prejudiced attitude. We have set up a campaign in our local area to try and gain support for a designated off road motorcycle track. We hope to lead the way for all towns across the country in this campaign; if we succeed then others will soon follow!

Please, please help us in what is so far a long hard political struggle by offering your support. If you help us win this battle, you may too soon have a local track near you.

Visit the site for more information: www.rochdaleoffroad.co.uk.

There you can find articles illustrating how big a problem we are trying to resolve.

I am begging you, as a biker family, to download the support form and sign it. It doesn’t have to be full, just 1 name is enough. You can print a support form at the website above.

Again, thank you all for your support.
