Posted March 23, 201114 yr Got my xs250 to restore, most things look good, bit the first thing I've noticed is that the seatpan is quite bad. Anyone know where I might be able to get a non rusty seat pan for a 1980 xs250? Also , would an xs400 seat fit?
March 23, 201114 yr Moderator xs400 seat will fit, but you'll have trouble finding a decent one unless you go aftermarket
March 24, 201114 yr Author Cheers, I've seen a couple of xs400 ones, but they looked like they are plastic and wasn't sure if they would fit. The foam on the seat I have looks good, but the metal work is quite bad :-(
March 24, 201114 yr Moderator if they are plastic, they are from the DOHC xs400 and won't fit the sohc models. don't forget that there a custom variants out there as well! try guillari, there are some still out there! http://www.xs400-forum.de/t516394f11773632-Welche-Sitzbank.html
