LincolnVStar Posted March 21, 2011 Share Posted March 21, 2011 Just bought a used 07 VStar with 5k miles. After about 100 miles the speedometer stopped working. The rest of the gauges/odometer/lights all work. The manual says when you turn the key to "On" the bike does an electric check and the speedometer fans from 0 to the far right and then returns to 0. Mine no longer does this. I have checked the fuses and they all appear fine. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've heard of cases where the speedo sticks due to warping of the speedo dial. But before you panic check your battery connections are tight...
