Posted March 20, 201114 yr hy everyone, ive just bought a xvs 1300 mindight star. had a test ride and loved it. so just a few questions - what mpg can i expect [ both going steady & on the motorway at 70mph ] and can i expect to get high milage from it without to bigger problems. and any tips from owners would be great cheers.
March 20, 201114 yr The most I've had from mine is 146 miles from a tank before the fuel light came on, but I've heard of others who say they've had 160-180 miles from a tank before the fuel light comes on. Of course there's all kinds of factors, I always ride 2 up and have bags and a windshield installed. Also it will depend on how heavy you are with your right wrist... March 21, 201114 yr From my figures above = 43mpg. Have to admit I probably COULD ride more fuel efficiently but where's the FUN in that???
March 21, 201114 yr Hi, yes I average about 45MPG. If I was a bit easier on the throttle I could return more but as clarkegray states above where's the fun in that!!! Great bike though.
