Hiya chaps and chappettes. I've purchased this old clanger and I long to turn it from tragic to magic.

I've introduced myself in this thread

So I've got this little bike sitting in my shed now.

I've noticed on Ebay there are foot grips - yay!

And I can get rear lens, from the same shop. Nice.

Any idea where I can get a schematics diagram or even better a workshop manual?

And - anyone got a fairing for sale?

Ideally I'd like to get this fella stripped down, re- powder coated in brand new colours - get the seat re-done, re-chromed etc.

Should be a fun project!

Here's the pictures of the bike to date:

and a picture of what it should look like:

And here's a picture of the parts I need

V50_1971_needed.JPG

1) Right hand side (kickstart side) Rear Cover (behind fuel tank) and knurled bolt to hold it.

2) Right hand side cover (With or without stickers)

3) Fairing

4) Luggage Rack front

5) Lens for indicator (2, right & left)

Righto - some progress. Have pulled it to bits..

Woot Woot! I found a helpful bloke. If ever you need old bits and stuff - talk to TOM from spare parts at ProMoto at Slacks creek, Brisbane QLD Australia

Brilliant customer service, really knows his stuff. Doesn't laugh when you mention your passion for old bikes. :)

And he helped me find one of the parts I need cheap! brilliant. One inspection cover (round, magneto inspection cover) on it's way. :) :) :)

So we're getting there. I've also got bids in for some manuals and bits and pieces (like foot peg rubbers etc).

If you see a fairing going cheap - let me know!

Already bought the side panels, the headlight & some other parts.

PS - I got it going!? Pulled engine off, cleaned off Magneto & points, stripped Carburettor down and cleaned it, added some pre-mix, and she runs!

Yay
