Go here instead. PJME No brainer when you look at it.

PJME No brainer when you look at it. thanks for your reply. i already have it stripped out with just the big end bearing to change now, after reading your link im starting to regret it now lol

February 14, 201114 yr Moderator crank is already split pin removed etc and new bearing to go in just not sure now if i should send it to be balanced tho Think of it this way, You cannot say for certain that you have it accurate enough with the alighnment if you don't send it off, like the site says 15thou runout is not possible to see without specialist equipment. After you have done all the rebuild, fitted the new piston, seals bearings gaskets etc. The engine's in and when you finally start it it vibrates, or runs for a week or two then quits . If you have all the parts send it away, 25quid for peace of mind is a bargain.
March 14, 201113 yr Author thanks for your replys,your right it does seem mad to risk spoling a full rebuild,im going to send it to a place called motolink.has anyone else heard of this or used it.
