Go here instead. PJME No brainer when you look at it.

pj2511 Posted February 14, 2011 Author Posted February 14, 2011 just send the crank off for repair, no need to regret it or have you.........? crank is already split pin removed etc and new bearing to go in just not sure now if i should send it to be balanced tho
Moderator Cynic Posted February 14, 2011 Moderator Posted February 14, 2011 crank is already split pin removed etc and new bearing to go in just not sure now if i should send it to be balanced tho Think of it this way, You cannot say for certain that you have it accurate enough with the alighnment if you don't send it off, like the site says 15thou runout is not possible to see without specialist equipment. After you have done all the rebuild, fitted the new piston, seals bearings gaskets etc. The engine's in and when you finally start it it vibrates, or runs for a week or two then quits . If you have all the parts send it away, 25quid for peace of mind is a bargain.
pj2511 Posted March 14, 2011 Author Posted March 14, 2011 thanks for your replys, your right it does seem mad to risk spoling a full rebuild,im going to send it to a place called motolink.has anyone else heard of this or used it.
