To all who it may concern.

Due to my numerous requests to Japan's Yamaha factory and to Japan's Commerce and Industry Association I've been give the same reply on my issue.

That is: there were no VIN code for the engine in some particular models of motorcycles manufactured in Japan.

The list of the models:

YAMAHA TTR250 (years of origin: 1993-2001)

YAMAHA FZR250 (years of origin: 1989-2001)

YAMAHA TDR250 (tears of origin: 1988-1993)

You can take this information in your consideration while checking the bike before buying it. The only identification on the engine can be found are the letters or digits like: 4GY, 1KT or other.
