Hi guys

I have a 2005 dt125x and the other day i changed the chain and sprockets, all went fine until i went to start it up. It would turn over but not fire up.

Up until now I have never ever had trouble getting it started.

I stripped it down and there is no power getting to the coils. I've got basic knowledge when it comes to mechanics but im terrible with electrics.

Has anyone got any suggestions, or had the same problem and fixed it.

Cheers

Craig

No the killswitch is off and the neutral lights are working fine and all of my other electrics are working, indicators, pv the lot. i just don't have a spark at all.

Yeah I've tried a few different spark plugs and I've changed the spark plug cap, no luck

Are you holding the spark plug metal body to ground on the cyl head when checking?

you really are terrible with electrics

if you are looking for a spark you need to hold the metal body of the plug against the metal of your engine (usually the cylinder head). If you just hold it in thin air it will never spark. ;)

Ah ok yeah understand that one lol. Yeah I've tried that and there was still no spark. I was wondering if there was anything obvious near the front sprocket that I might have got wet or knocked that could have broken it?

A bit slow with my reply there but no, ive checked those wires and it didn't make a difference.

I've just been looking through all the wires running down the frame and found one that was broken. Fixed it an it's all working fine.

Hopefully I can help someother people now

Cheers guys for all the help
